Turin was able to withstand a terribly hard, three –month-long siege thanks to the tenaciousness and trust in the final victory of all its inhabitants, without distinction of social classes, even in the most difficult circumstances.

In the exhibition of 2006, celebrating the third centenary of the siege and the battle, the many unknown heroes of those times were paid homage in a series of films belonging now to the audio-visual media of the Museum.

The characters in the films are :

Giacinta Borello a woman of the people

Baltasar Grabenspringer a Prussian grenadier who walked as far as Turin to fight

Friar Andrea a witness of the battle from his monastery of Madonna di Campagna

Simon Ciabrand  a soldier and miner colleague of Pietro Micca
